about

Sfeq is an Amsterdam based collective founded in 1989. The band quickly rose to fame in the 90's with their eclectic mix of jazz, electronica and sample based hiphop. True to its DIY spirit several members of the band went on to establish the record label Dox Records, which would later be known for launching internationally renowned artists like Benny Sings, Giovanca and Wouter Hamel. To celebrate the 500th release of Dox Records the band returns with a compilation of previously unreleased tracks, 15 years after they played their last show. The project features live recordings with the Metropole Orkest, unreleased singles and trippy B sides from the rich history of the band.
